Our Story

Kepha Mission Foundation is a Kenyan non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to supporting vulnerable communities across Nairobi, Isiolo, Marsabit, and the wider Northern Kenya region. Officially registered under the Societies Act on 24th October 2023, Kepha emerged from the compassionate outreach of Christ Agape Church, whose mission expanded from spiritual guidance to life-changing humanitarian action.

The name “Kepha”—meaning rock in Greek—symbolizes strength, stability, and resilience, values that define our commitment to communities facing poverty, displacement, and the harsh effects of climate change.

Our earliest work focused on rescuing and supporting orphans, widows, street families, and the urban poor within Nairobi’s informal settlements. As the humanitarian needs grew, our mission expanded to the arid and semi-arid lands (ASAL), where climate disasters and chronic vulnerabilities continue to strain fragile communities.

Today, the heart of Kepha’s peacebuilding and resilience efforts are anchored in four transformative pillars:

1. Education

We empower learners of all ages through scholarships, mentorship, life skills, and community learning spaces—building hope and long-term peace.

2. Health

Through mobile clinics, nutrition outreach, mental health support, and disease prevention, we strengthen community well-being and reduce vulnerability.

3. Climate Resilience & Sustainable Action

We support communities to adapt to climate shocks through DRR, environmental restoration, water security, and sustainable livelihoods.

4. Economic Empowerment

We build household stability through micro-enterprise development, business training, and income-generating opportunities that reduce poverty and conflict drivers.

Today, Kepha Mission Foundation continues to grow its reach and capacity—guided by a dedicated team committed to restoring dignity, empowering families, and strengthening resilience.

We remain a rock of support for the vulnerable—uplifting lives and building peaceful, empowered communities across Kenya.
