Who We Are

Kepha Mission Foundation is a local non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to supporting vulnerable communities in Nairobi and the greater Northern Kenya region. The foundation was officially registered under the Societies Act in Kenya on Tuesday, 24th October 2023.

The vision for Kepha Mission Foundation was born out of the compassionate efforts of Christ Agape Church, which sought to extend its outreach beyond spiritual nourishment to practical humanitarian aid, particularly in the arid and semi-arid lands (ASAL) of Kenya. As the church expanded its mission to spread the Kingdom of God, a clear need emerged to support the less fortunate, leading to the establishment of the Foundation.

The name Kepha, meaning "rock" in Greek, symbolizes strength, stability, and resilience—values that underpin the Foundation’s mission and work.

Kepha Mission Foundation began by rescuing and supporting orphans, street families, widows, and the urban poor in Nairobi's informal settlements. From these humble beginnings, the Foundation has grown into a dynamic organization improving the lives of marginalized people and helping restore their dignity and self-respect.

The Foundation’s core focus is to respond to local humanitarian challenges and contribute meaningfully to development efforts in Kenya. This is done through:

Disaster risk reduction (DRR) initiatives

Emergency relief interventions

Resilience-building programs

Our work specifically targets climate-related vulnerabilities, including drought, flooding, and environmental degradation, which continue to impact already fragile communities.

As a result of committed leadership and growing support, Kepha Mission Foundation has expanded its operations to Isiolo and Marsabit counties. The organization has also strengthened its operational capacity by recruiting a team of qualified and passionate staff dedicated to realizing its mission and vision.

Kepha Mission Foundation remains committed to being a rock of support for the vulnerable—uplifting lives and building resilient, empowered communities across Kenya.
